Integrated Activities for you and your Children
Grocery Shopping
Grocery shopping is typically a chore and not something that your children probably wants to do. However, you can make it an educational game. Give your child a list of items that they need to get at the store as they get each item have them add up how much each costs. To use subtraction give your child a certain amount of money. Allow them to get whatever they want but they cannot go over the amount that they have. For each item they pick have them subtract that amount from the total and keep a list of the name of the item and the price.

War
Divide a deck of cards in half. Give one have to your child and keep one half for yourself. Do not look at the cards. Both of you at the same time flip your card over, whoever has the higher card wins those sets of cards. When one person has no cards left they loose the game. After each battle the player that looses has to add and subtract the two cards that were played. This game can be on going and will keep children wanting to play because they want to eventually win.

Math Scavenger Hunt
Create a scavenger hunt with math riddles. Have each riddle you give to your child direct them to a place where they will find another riddle and at the end of the hunt hide some sort of "treasure" for them to find. This will help them with word problems and will be a fun and challenging game for them.
